Honeymoon Pictures

Just shy of four months after we got married, JJ and I took our honeymoon trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We have a friend who is living there teaching art at a private Dominican school and she recommended some resorts for us to stay at. What we enjoyed even more than the 90 degree weather and the scenic beaches was that we got to spend time together. Time together is something all wives of accountants wish for!

There was a pretty severe language barrier, as the Dominican Republic is not a very popular vacation destination for Americans. Everyone at our resort was European or Latino and spoke only French or Spanish. Most of the time this was wonderful {as if we were on our own deserted island where no one could understand us} but when it became necessary to speak I would tap into my days of high school Spanish class to get us by.

Perhaps we can go back every year for our anniversary?
